One Leaf Down Tonight

Verse:

The leaves are turning brown.

Quiver tree, throw your branches upon the ground.

The frost aligns the river side.

One leaf falls, and down she glides.

No ripple no sound, just one leaf down tonight.

I can see her there, as she takes off her wear.

One foot after another, into the icy thunder.

No ripple no sound just one leaf down tonight.

Chorus:

Though the snow covered hills,

Are rollin' away,

Time stands still,

upon this untouched day.

Though the snow covered hills,

they are rollin' away,

A voice sings strong,

upon this undying day.

Verse:

Sometimes it makes me wonder,

Sometimes it makes me cry.

Beneath all that beauty,

One feels as if they could die, erase, finalize.

And make no ripple or sound, just one leaf down tonight.
Upon this icy ground,

Dont you fall tonight.
